The tube is a flexible silicone sleeve that stays cool to the touch after hours of use, and the power supply is low voltage. Nothing shatters, nothing burns, nothing hums.

The included remote controls brightness: at full power the sign lights the room, at 20-30% it becomes a night light — enough to reassure, not enough to keep a child awake. Warm white and pastel tones suit sleep better than saturated colors. With an inexpensive plug-in timer, it switches itself on and off at bedtime.
